To remove GBICs that have bail-operated latches, as shown in Figure 4-3,
use your finger-tip to rotate the bail outward, then pull on the bail to remove
the GBIC.

Replacement
GBICs may be removed and replaced with the Switch power on without disrupting
traffic on other ports.
1. Orient the GBIC as shown in Figure 4-4. The Keyway is on the bottom (as
shown) for the top row of ports and on the top for the bottom row of ports.
