number. For example, if a host contains a QLA2300 HBA that has an API instance
of 1, it displays as “ql2300-1”.
The right-hand side of the screen contains a series of tabbed pages, which change
depending on what is selected in the HBA tree. When SANblade Control VIX starts,
the host Info tabbed page displays. This page provides the following information
about the local machine (host):
n Host name
n OS type
n OS version
Different tabbed pages appear when you click on the host or the adapter name in
the HBA tree. These pages are described in sections 19.5.1 and 19.5.2.

Host Tabbed Pages
When SANblade Control VIX starts, the host Info and VI tabbed pages are available,
as described in sections 19.5.1.1 and 19.5.1.2.

Host Info Tabbed Page
The host Info tabbed page displays when SANblade Control VIX starts, or when
you click a host in the HBA tree (see figure 19-10).
