SANblade Control VIX Application for Windows 2000
19.1
Introduction
The SANblade Control VIX Application allows you to enable virtual interface (VI) as
well as configure the host and attached HBAs. To enable VI, you must have an HBA
with attritional memory and a driver that supports VI. At the time of publication, only
the Windows 2000 driver and the QLA2350/2352 HBA meet these criteria.
SANblade Control VIX has the following features:
n VI configuration
n Host parameters configuration
n HBA parameters configuration
n NVRAM parameters configuration
n Diagnostics
n Reporting basic information about the local host and HBAs
NOTE: SANblade Control VIX configures HBAs on the local machine; it cannot
configure HBAs on remote machines.
Throughout this section, HBA and adapter are used interchangeably.
