Q
If a multiport target does not comply with the Specification for
Platform-Independent Failover and Failback Integration (SPIFFI), the targets are
split by default. However, you can still combine the ports as described in the previous
paragraphs.
For detailed description on port states, and SPIFFI-compliant and non-SPIFFI
devices, please refer to the latest SPIFFI document.
You can delete persistent binding data from the registry (for one HBA at a time)
using the SANblade Control FX Application. From the Host menu, select Adapter
Persistent Configuration Data. The Fibre Persistent Configuration Editor
dialog box displays (see figure 17-19).
Figure 17-19. Fibre Persistent Configuration Editor Dialog Box
This dialog box lists the world wide port names of all the HBAs that currently have
persistent data in the registry. To delete all associated binding information from the
registry for the targets connected to the HBA, select the HBA and click Delete. You
need to restart your system for the deletion to take effect.
