Advanced Host Parameters
This part of the HBA Options tabbed page allows you to set parameters that update
or troubleshoot support issues (see figure 17-16).
Figure 17-16. HBA Options Tabbed Page (Advanced Host Parameters)
These parameters allow you to control how persistent binding is done for an HBA
or target device, as described in the following paragraphs.
n Maximum LUNs per Target. This setting specifies the number of LUNs per
target. Multiple LUN support is typical for RAID boxes that use LUNs to map
drives. The valid options for this setting are: 0, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 and 256. If you
do not need multiple LUN support, set this option to 0.
n Enable 4GB addressing. Select this check box if the system has more than
4 GB of memory available. By default, this check box is cleared.
n Enable Target Reset. When you select this check box, the drivers issue a Target
Reset command to all devices on the loop when a SCSI Bus Reset command
is issued. By default, this check box is cleared.
