Configuring HBAs in SANblade Control FX Wizard

Q
n Target ID. This column displays the target ID of the device. If the target device
is already bound in the configuration file, the target ID displayed is the ID by
which it is bound in the configuration file. If the target device is not bound, the
target ID displayed has been assigned to the target by the driver. If the target ID
assigned by the driver cannot be retrieved, the SANblade Control FX Application
tries to assign a distinct ID to every target device that is not bound. This column
is editable: you can bind the target device by a valid ID.
A target ID is invalid if at least one of the following is true:
q The target ID does not lie between 0–255.
q The target ID is the same as a boot device ID.
q The target ID contains any alphanumeric characters.
q Two target IDs are equal.
If you try to save an invalid target ID, the SANblade Control FX Application detects
it and a warning is displayed.
After binding the targets, click the Next button.
