Configurating the HBA

n Frame Size. This setting specifies the maximum frame length supported by the
HBAs. Select one of the following frame sizes:
q 512
q 1024
q 2048
The default size is 2048, which provides maximum performance for F-Port
(point-to-point) connections.
n Execution Throttle. This setting specifies the maximum number of commands
executing on any one port. When a port’s execution throttle is reached, no new
commands are executed until the current command finishes executing. Enter a
value in the range 1–256. The default is 16.
n Enable Fibre Channel Tape Support. Select this check box to enable Fibre
Channel tape support. By default, this check box is cleared.
n Enable Fibre Channel Confirm. Select this check box to enable the Fibre
Channel confirm option if your configuration requires FC tape support. By default,
this check box is cleared.
n Data Rate. Select the HBA data rate from the drop down menu:
q 1 Gbps. The HBA runs at 1 Gbps. (This is the default setting.)
q 2 Gbps. The HBA runs at 2 Gbps.
q Auto Negotiate. The system determines what rate it can accommodate and
sets it accordingly.
After configuring the host parameters, continue with another selection (Advanced
Host Parameters or Advanced Firmware Parameters), or click one of the buttons
at the bottom of the page to save the new configuration (see section 15.6.1).
