SANblade Control FX Application for Solaris
15.1
Introduction
The SANblade Control FX (Application and Wizard) GUI for Solaris allows you to
configure HBAs and the target devices attached to them. SANblade Control FX
works only on the local machine; it cannot configure HBAs and target devices on
remote machines.
At the time of publication, SANblade Control FX supports Solaris SPARC
versions 2.6, 2.7, 2.8, and 2.9.
SANblade Control FX has the following features:
n HBA parameters configuration
n Target persistent binding
n Boot device view
n Diagnostics (loopback and read/write buffer tests)
n Utilities for updating the NVRAM and Flash (FCode)
n Configuration wizard (see section 16)
n Reporting basic information about the local host, HBAs, target devices, and
logical unit numbers (LUNs)
Throughout this section, HBA and adapter are used interchangeably. Some screens
in the GUI use HBA, some use adapter.
