Driver Parameters
The NetWare driver has two types of optional parameters:
n System parameters (specified when the driver is loaded) (see section 11.5.1)
n NVRAM parameters (stored in the HBAs NVRAM) (see section 11.5.2)
11.5.1
System Parameters
The optional system parameters are specified on the driver load line. There are two
types of system parameters:
n Global. The parameter applies to all driver instances; the value specified in the
first instance is used globally for all instances.
n Instance. The parameter applies only to the individual driver where it is specified.
In the following parameters, QL2x00 refers to any one of the following: 2300, 2200,
2100. The exception to this is the configuration file, QL2x00.CFG, where the
x character is literal.
The system parameters are described in table 11-1.
Table 11-1. QL2300.HAM Driver Parameters
Parameter Type Description
SLOT = n Instance This parameters tells NetWare the PCI slot number (n) of
the HBA on which to load this driver instance.
SLOT=n parameter example:
LOAD QL2300.HAM SLOT=3
