QL2x00IP NDIS Network Driver Installation
Your system must meet the following requirements for the QL2x00IP network driver
interface specification (NDIS) network driver to function properly:
n The QL2300 SCSI miniport driver must be installed.
n Windows 2000 networking software must be installed.
n All QLA23xx HBAs on the network must have the same value set for the
maximum transfer unit (MTU) size (IP configuration parameter).
If a QL2x00IP NDIS network driver is not installed on your system, perform the
installation procedures in section 9.7.1. If an older QL2x00IP network driver is
already installed on your system, perform the update procedures in section 9.7.2.
The following files are provided for installation:
n Netql2x.infdriver installation script for the Windows 2000 setup program
n Ql2x00ip.sysQLogic QL2x00IP NDIS driver for Windows 2000
n Ql2xipcu.exeQLogic QL2x00IP Configuration Utility
n Release.txtrelease notes for the QL2x00IP driver

Initial Installation of the QL2x00IP NDIS Network Driver
Perform the following steps to install the QL2x00IP NDIS network driver:
1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Add/Remove Hardware icon.
3. The Add/Remove Hardware Wizard welcome screen displays. Click Next.
4. In the Choose a Hardware Task dialog box, click Add/Troubleshoot a device
and click Next.
5. In the Choose a Hardware Device dialog box, select Add a new device and
click Next.
6. In the Find New Hardware dialog box, click No, I want to select the hardware
from a list and click Next.
7. In the Hardware Type dialog box, select Network Adapters and click Next.
8. Insert the disk that contains the QLogic driver in an appropriate drive.
9. In the Select Network Adapter dialog box, click Have Disk.
10. Type the path to the QL2x00IP NDIS network driver. For example:
