Configuration Settings

Connection Options. This setting defines the type of connection (loop or
point-to-point) or connection preference (see table 15-2). The default is 2.

Fibre Channel Tape Support. This setting enables FCP-2 recovery. The default
is Enabled.

Data Rate. This setting determines the data rate. When this setting is 0, the
QLA23xx HBA runs at 1 Gbps. When this setting is 1, the QLA23xx HBA runs
at 2 Gbps. When this setting is 2, Fast!UTIL determines what rate your system
can accommodate and sets the rate accordingly. The default is 2.

Selectable Boot Settings
The Selectable Boot Settings option is accessed from the Configuration Settings
menu. From the Selectable Boot Settings menu, enable the selectable boot option
and insert a device into the primary boot device location, as described in this section.
When multiple devices are inserted in the Selectable Boot Settings menu list and
the first device fails, the system attempts to boot from the second listed device. The
system goes through as many boot devices as you set up through this screen.
NOTE: The QLA23xx HBA BIOS must be enabled (in additional to enabling the
Selectable Boot option) to boot from the selected device.
Follow these steps to enable the Selectable Boot option and insert devices into
the boot device locations:
1. From the Configuration Settings menu, use the arrow keys to choose Host
Adapter Settings. Enable the HBA BIOS, then press ESC to return to the
Configuration Settings menu.
2. From the Configuration Settings menu, use the arrow keys to choose
Selectable Boot Settings.
3. Press ENTER to enable or disable (toggle) the Selectable Boot option. Use
the down arrow key to move to the Primary location of the Selectable Boot
List menu.
4. Press ENTER to see a list of accessible devices (these are the devices in the
Select Fibre Channel Device menu).
