Windows Server 2003 Driver Installation

Introduction
This section provides instructions for installing the Windows Server 2003 driver
under the following operating system conditions:
■
Initial installation of Windows Server 2003 operating system and the
Windows Server 2003 driver (QLA23xx HBA connects to the boot device)
■
Initial installation of Windows Server 2003 operating system and the
Windows Server 2003 driver (QLA23xx HBA connects to an add-on device)
■
Installation of the Windows Server 2003 driver in an already installed
Windows Server 2003 operating system
■
Installing an updated Windows Server 2003 driver in an already installed
Windows Server 2003 operating system that has an older version of the driver
9.2
Creating the Driver Disk
Follow these steps to create driver disk containing the files needed to install the
Windows Server 2003 driver:
1. Locate the driver you want on the QLogic web site (www.qlogic.com
) and click
Download.
2. If prompted Would you like to open the file or save it to your computer?,
click the Save button. Specify a temporary location on the hard drive and
download the driver.
3. Insert a blank disk in drive A.
4. Run the self-extracting file you just downloaded, specifying A:\ for Unzip To
Folder.
