Replacing Target Devices 5 – Using QLconfig

The Device and LUN Configuration window displays (see figure 5-18):

2. Select Device Replacement>>Start Device Replacement.
QLconfig displays a dialog with information on how to proceed with the
replacement. If you decide to proceed with the replacement process,
QLconfig changes its mouse operation to allow you to select the inactive
devices to replace and active devices with which to replace them.
3. Double-click in the cell of the inactive target device that you want to
replace.
This target device must be inactive. Inactive devices are in gray cells in the
grid. A dialog displays that shows the QLA2xxx adapter, the inactive target
device to be replaced, and the list of active target devices belonging to the
same QLA2xxx adapter.
4. In the dialog, click on the active target device you want to replace the
inactive one. (You can use the left or the right mouse button.)
5. Click OK.
6. Click Proceed in the confirmation dialog.
