Displaying the Target Device Menu
Right-click on a target in the Device Port Name field to display the menu. This
menu displays only the valid options. For example, a device that currently has no
unconfigured path will not have Configure using default in its menu.
The menu shows only the valid options. If you are using the QLconfig High
Availability version, the following menu options can be available. If you are using
the QLconfig Standard version, only Device Information is available.
❑ Configuring using default. If you are running the QLconfig High
Availability version, the unconfigured paths for this device are set to primary
or failover according to the following rules:
❑ If this device is accessible by only one QLA2xxx adapter, it is set to
primary.
❑ If this device is accessible by more than one QLA2xxx adapter and all
paths are currently unconfigured, the first device path is set to primary
and the rest to failover.
❑ If this device is accessible by more than one QLA2xxx adapter and one
path has been set to primary, the remaining paths are set to failover.
❑ Delete device. Select this option to make a device unavailable to the system
as a storage device.
❑ Switching primary and failover paths. If you are running the QLconfig
High Availability version, this feature switches the primary and failover
paths.
❑ Un-configuring all paths (or Un-configuring all). The paths for this
device are unconfigured. QLconfig prompts you to confirm this action
before it is executed.
❑ Device Information. This option is equivalent to double-clicking on a
QLA2xxx adapter in the grid top heading.
