Configuring SAN Components

The QLconfig configuration can be applied to the system for dynamic updates or

saved to the system’s registry. If the configuration is saved, the QLA2xxx adapter

retrieves the data from this registry at the next system boot-up and configures the

system accordingly. Some older versions of the drivers do not support this registry

setting, and the application does not save registry entry for these drivers. Therefore,

make sure that you have upgraded to the latest drivers specified in section 2.3.

To configure QLA2xxx adapters, target devices, and paths, do one of the following:

❑ Click Machine Configuration on the QLconfig main window.

❑ Right-click on a machine in the mapping tree side of the QLconfig main

window, then select Configure Machine.
