4. Enter your password if a password was set using QLconfig security (see
section 4.9 and section 5.2.1).
5. From the RPC Type field drop-down menu, select Distributed Computing
Environment (DCE) for Windows or Open Network Computing (ONC)
for Novell NetWare. (DCE is the default.)
6. Click on the Transport Type field drop-down menu, then select a transport
type for the Desktop Management Interface (DMI) connection.
7. Click Connect.
A dialog informs you that the application is trying to connect to the
machine. If the connection attempt fails, an error message is displayed to
show you the failure and potential causes. If the connection is successful,
the machine’s name and its QLA2xxx adapters display on the QLconfig
main window mapping tree.
