Getting Started with QLconfig
QLconfig consists of three separate components:
QLconfig Agent. The agent is the software that allows the configuration of
QLA2xxx adapters, devices, and Logical Unit Numbers (LUNs).
QLconfig Security. This application allows you to set the password for
access to the agent and to enable/disable device and LUN configuration.
QLconfig Application. This Graphical User Interface (GUI) application
provides the user interface for configuring QLA2xxx adapters.
NOTE: Both components require the installation and execution of the Intel
DMI 2.0 Service Provider.

Launching QLconfig Security
The QLconfig security application allows you to specify whether to enable or
disable the configuration of the systems devices and LUNs. It also displays the
current state of the QLconfig Security application (QLconfig NT Agent) service
and the last error code, if any. This program also allows administrator-level users
to enter a password to control access to the system from QLconfig.
To access the QLconfig Security application, follow these steps:
1. Select Start>>Settings>>Control Panel>>Services to start the QLconfig
NT Agent.
2. Verify that the service is started. If the service is not started, start it by
highlighting the service and clicking on the Start button.
3. Select Start>>Programs>>QLogic Management Suite>>
QLconfig>>QLconfig Security.
