The Grid
The grid is a two-dimensional view of the QLA2xxx adapters and devices in the
machine. The top headings show the QLA2xxx adapter and the side headings
display the devices node or port names.
Each cell in the grid represents a path (the device is visible to the QLA2xxx
adapter). The cell is color-coded as follows:
Cyan. Primary-path device
Yellow. Failover-path device (High Availability version only)
NOTE: If you are using the Standard version of QLconfig, you will not
see the yellow designation because there is no failover path in that
version. The paths in the Standard version are either primary
(cyan) or unconfigured (gray).
Gray. Unconfigured device
NOTE: If you set one target device to unconfigured in the grid, the target
device in the column next to it also becomes unconfigured.
White. No path
Each cell might also include the following text string to designate its state:
Local. This is a device on the local loop.
Fabric. This is a device on the fabric.
Not Saved. This device configuration has been changed (unconfigured to
primary or vice versa) and the new configuration has not been saved.
New. This device was added to the QLA2xxx adapter after this application
was started.
Inactive. This device, although configured in the QLA2xxx adapters
database, is not active, for example, devices that have been physically
removed from the system.
To control the grid, use these mouse operations: left-click, left double-click, and
right-click. (QLconfig does not support keyboard commands.)
