Options
The New Machine Connection window contains the following options:
❑ Machine Name. This field provides a drop-down menu of available
machines (or accepts machine names that you type in this field) to which
you can connect. After you establish the Desktop Management Interface
(DMI) connection, QLconfig saves this remote machine’s name in the
drop-down menu.
❑ RPC Type. This field provides a drop-down menu of available Remote
Procedure Call (RPC) types.
❑ Transport Type. This field provides a drop-down menu of available transport
types for the DMI connection.
4.3.2
Buttons
The New Machine Connection window contains the following buttons:
❑ Show Network Map. This button helps you find the machine names. When
you click this button, it launches the Map Network Drive window, which
maps a logical drive to a machine on the network. It displays the names of
all the connectable machines and the domains to which the machines
belong.
❑ Clear Name List. This button deletes all machines on the list except Local.
❑ Connect. This button connects to the machine you specify in this window.
❑ Cancel. This button closes the New Machine Connection window
attempting to connect to any machines.
