Updating the System 5 – Using QLview for Fibre

Do one of the following:
❑ Click Update to proceed with the update.
or
❑ Click Cancel to abort the update.
After your confirmation for updating NVRAM parameters, QLview for
Fibre verifies that the Security application on the adapter’s system allows
an NVRAM update.
If the QLA2xxx adapter’s system does not allow an NVRAM update, the
following message displays (see figure 5-34):

If you click Cancel to abort the update process or if the update process
fails because of invalid passwords or errors reported from the QLA2xxx
adapter’s system, the original NVRAM settings are restored and displayed
on the window.
7. Do one of the following:
❑ Enter your password in the following dialog (see figure 5-35); then click
OK:

If the password you entered matches the QLView for Fibre Security
NVRAM Password Setting on the QLA2xxx adapter’s system, the new
NVRAM settings are forwarded to the adapter’s system for updating.
