Updating the System 5 – Using QLview for Fibre

You can change these parameters on a NetWare system under the following
conditions:
❑ You entered a password in the security application (see section 5.2.5.2).
❑ You provide the correct password and it is authenticated by QLview for
Fibre.
CAUTION!
Changing NVRAM settings incorrectly can cause serious damage
to your system. If in doubt, always consult your systems expert
before changing any NVRAM settings.
To change the settings, follow these steps:
1. From the Adapter’s Diagnostics and Utilities window, click the NVRAM
Settings tab. The NVRAM Settings page displays (see figure 5-31):

If the Enable NVRAM Parameters Update option is enabled in the
Security application, this page displays the QLA2xxx adapter’s parameters
that are saved in its NVRAM. If this option is not enabled, the fields are
grayed out.
