4. Read the warning; then click Ye s when you are sure that no I/Os are active.
The Loopback and Read/Write Buffer Diagnostics window displays (see
figure 5-22):

5. In the Data Pattern field, do one of the following:
❑ Select a data byte from the drop-down menu.
or
❑ Select Customized in the Data Pattern field to specify your own
eight-byte pattern; then enter the data in hexadecimal format (0-FF) into
the eight boxes in the Customized pattern (in hex) field.
6. In the Test Frequency field, set the number of tests you want to run. You
can type a test number from 1 to 10,000 or use the up and down arrows to
select a value.
