This dialog displays the following information:
❑ QLview for Fibre software version number
❑ QLview for Fibre software release date of the QLview for Fibre software
❑ The version number of the Service Provider
❑ The version number of the DMI specification that this Service Provider
supports

Setting Up New Connections
To manage or control a QLA2xxx adapter, QLview for Fibre must first establish a
DMI connection with the machine where the adapter is installed. This machine can
be the local system where QLview for Fibre is running or any system on the same
network as the local system.
5.4.1
Preparing to Add a New Connection
For a DMI connection to be successfully established, the system with which you
want to connect must meet the following requirements:
❑ At least one QLA2xxx adapter is installed and active.
❑ The QLview for Fibre Agent is installed and running. You can check this
in the Windows Services dialog by selecting one of the following:
❑ Windows 2000: Start>>Programs>>Administrative Tools>>
Services>>QLview for Fibre NT Agent
or
❑ Windows NT: Start>>Settings>>Control Panel>>Services>>
QLview for Fibre NT Agent
❑ Win32sl, the DMI Service Provider, is running. You can check this in the
Services window.
