Specifications

See Figure 67 for an example of the output for the script.
5. Vary off the volume group by typing varyoffvg <volume group name>.
6. Export the volume group (exportvg <volume group name>).
7. Use the ESS Specialist to unassign all disks (LUNs) on the ESS that were
listed when you ran the script in step 4 on page 162.
8. Delete all disks that belong to the volume group that you just exported by
typing rmdev -l hdisk1 -d.
9. Assign all those disks documented in step 3 on page 162 to the host system
that needs access to them. Use the worldwide port name to identify the host
bus adapter.
10. Run the cfgmgr command at the AIX command prompt. Execute the function
to install or configure devices that were added after IPL using SMIT, or restart
the host system.
11. After the command completes successfully or after a restart, check to see that
the disks are available that were part of the volume group. Compare to the
document created by step 4 on page 162.
12. When you see that all disks are available, you can import the volume group by
typing importvg <volumegroup> hdisk1.
13. At the command prompt, verify that all disks are available (imported) to use in
the volume group (lsvg -p <volumegroup>).
14. Mount all file systems that were unmounted in step 2 on page 162.
