Downloading the Emulex adapter driver
Perform the following steps to install the port driver.
1. Plug in and restart your host system.
2. Go to the following Web site:
www.emulex.com
3. From the Quick Links menu, click Documentation, Drivers and Software.
4. Click the host adapter type from the host adapter menu.
For example, click Emulex LP8000.
5. Click Drivers for Windows NT.
6. Click Specialized Drivers.
7. Click SCSI/ID multi-port xxxxx or SCSI port xxxxx, where xxxxx is the name
of the adapter driver.
8. Click Download Now.
9. From the File Download window, click the appropriate button and proceed as
indicated:
v Open this file from its current location
Go to step 10.
v Save this file to disk
Go to step 17.
10. In the Winzip window, click I agree.
11. In the WinZip Wizard - Welcome window, click Next.
12. In the WinZip Wizard - Select Zip File xxxxxxxx.zip window where
xxxxxxxx is the name of the file, highlight the file that you want to unzip.
13. Click Next.
14. In the WinZip Wizard - Unzip window, click Unzip now.
A window opens that indicates the progress of the download operation. When
progress indicator window closes, the download is complete. When the
operation to unzip the file completes, a window opens to display the following
file names:
v Lpscsi
v Lputilnt
v Oemsetup
v Readme
v Txtsetup.oem
15. Double click Readme to get the instructions to install the fibre-channel adapter
driver. Print the Readme file.
16. In the WinZip Wizard - Unzip Complete window, click Close.
17. Ensure that the name of the file you want to download is displayed in the
window.
If the name of the file you want to download is not displayed in the window, go
to step 2 in “Downloading the Emulex adapter driver”.
18. Click Save to download and unzip the file to your hard drive.
A window opens that indicates the progress of the download operation. When
progress indicator window closes, the download is complete.
Installing the Emulex adapter drivers
