Reporting on Your Datacenter
The query in Figure 31 on page 55 shows a listing, sorted by hostname, of those
files in the enterprise that have not been accessed or modified since July 1, 2006.
Based on the results of the query, the storage administrator can determine which
files should be compressed, archived, or deleted in accordance with the
enterprise’s data-retention policies.

Identifying large files
The storage administrator seeks to identify large files in the storage network that
could be wasting valuable storage space and could possibly be archived,
compressed, or deleted. In accordance with the enterprise’s policies, all files larger
than 250 MB are subject to inspection for this purpose.
