5. Clicks the Add HBA button to replace the deleted QLogic HBA with another Emulex
HBA (Figure 90).
This ensures that HBAs are from the same vendor, because, by default, the new
HBA will be the same as the existing HBA. Now the HBA driver and firmware for
both HBAs are of a qualified combination.

By detailing the existing configuration, the administrator can easily add individual or
multiple components and test their interoperability as shown next in “Adding
components to the existing configuration” on page 114.
Customizing configuration rules
Optionally, if the administrator wants to comply with internal business
recommendations, rather than complying with the
EMC Support Matrix , the
administrator can edit the configuration rules, for example, to apply or not apply to
certain objects.
To edit a configuration rule, the administrator:
1. On the SAN Advisor home page, under My Designs, clicks the desired design.
The Host Information page appears.
