Determining WAN Characteristics
To correctly configure a FCIP route for maximum performance and reliability
requires precise understanding of the IP link (WAN) characteristics, including the
following link characteristics:
 Link Round-Trip Time (RTT)
 Link Data Rate End-to-End
 Available Link Bandwidth
 Allocated Link Bandwidth
 Link (WAN) Quality: congestion (dropped packets), packet errors
