In Figure 4-1, the hosts win-3f1kc24knkr.hypernpiv.com and
HostServerA.hypernpiv.com have been added.
VM Creation
This section describes the additional steps needed to create a VM on a Fibre
Channel SAN LUN presented to a virtual adapter port.
Before you can use VMM2008 R2 to transfer virtual machines on a SAN,
automount must be disabled on the Hyper-V hosts that will be either a source or
destination computer for SAN transfers. To disable automount:
1. Open a new command prompt.
2. Type diskpart.
3. At the prompt, type automount disable.
The following message appears:
Automatic mounting of new volumes disabled.
4. Type exit.
