FUNCTION INTRODUCTION
You can adjust your radio's squelch level to filter out unwanted calls with low signal strength or
signals with high background noise.
Settings: Normal is the default. Tight lters out ( unwanted) calls and/ or background noise. However,
calls from remote locations may also be ltered out.
Press " Tight/Normal squelch" key.1.
The radio is in deep squelch when you hear a short confirm alert tone, Or you will hear an 2.
unconrmed alert tone that's mean the radio in Normal squelch.

You can customize your radio's power setting to high or low for each channel.
Settings: High enables communication with radios located at a considerable distance from you. Low
enables communication with radio in closer proximity.
Press " High/Low power" key. 1.
You will hear a conrm alert tone, that's mean the radio use low power for transmitting. Or you 2.
can hear a unconrmed alert tone, that's mean the radio use high power for transmitting.
Wait for the Talk Permit Tone to nish ( if enabled) and speak clearly into the microphone.3.
Release [PTT] key to listen.4.
If you do not respond within hang time, the radio returns to scanning other channels/Setting 5.
