To start View Client

automaticallyafterinstallation,double‐clickthedesktop
shortcutorclickStart>Programs>VMware>VMwareViewClient.
2IntheConnectionServerdrop‐downmenu,enterthehostnameorIPaddressof
aViewConnectionServer.
3 (Optional)IftheLoginascurrentusercheckboxisdisplayed,you
canselectthis
checkboxtousethecredentialsthatyouspecifiedwhenyouloggedintothis
systemtologintotheViewConnectionServerandtheViewdesktop.
IfyoudonotselectLoginascurrentuser,youhavetoprovidecredentialstolog
inmultiple
timesbeforeyoucanaccessaViewdesktop.
IfyouselectLoginascurrentuserandyouareauthorizedtologintotheView
ConnectionServer,youarenotpromptedtoenterlogincredentialsinStep 5.

5Enterthecredentialsforanentitleduser,selectthedomain,and
clickLogin.
Ifyoutypetheusernameasuser@domain,itistreatedasauserprincipalname
(UPN)becauseoftheat‐sign(@),sothedomaindrop‐downmenudims.
6 SelectadesktopfromthelistprovidedandclickConnect.
ViewClientattemptstoconnecttothespecified
desktop.
Afteryouareconnected,theclientwindowappears.
To connect to desktops using View Portal
1OpenabrowsersupportedbyViewPortal,andentertheURLofastandardor
replicaViewConnectionServerorSecurityServerinstance.
2Enteranentitledusernameandpassword,selectthecorrectdomainfromthe
drop‐downmenu,andclickLogin.
3WhentheAccessStatusisReady,clickOptions>Connectnexttothedesktopyou
wanttouse.
