Disabling View Manager and Deleting Objects
IfyouwanttopreventusersfromaccessingtheirdesktopsyoucandisabletheView
ConnectionServertopreventclientsfromloggingin.Currentlyloggedinusersarenot
affectedwhenyoudisabletheViewConnectionServer.
DisablingtheViewConnectionServerisusefulifyouneedtotakeitout
ofservicefor
anyreason.WhenaViewConnectionServerisdisabled,enduserswhoattempttolog
inseeamessagestatingthattheconnectionfailedandthatViewConnectionServeris
currentlydisabled.
To enable or disable a View Connection Server instance
1ClicktheConfigurationbutton.
2 SelecttheViewConnectionServerfromthelistofserversandclick
Enableor
Disable.
DisablingaViewConnectionServerdoesnotaffectthecurrentactivedesktopsessions
norwillitpreventnewdesktopsessionsfrombeingestablished.
Deleting View Manager Objects
DeleteViewManagerobjects(vCenterServerconnections,ViewConnectionServer
connections,anddesktops)byusingtheadministratoruserinterface.
To remove a vCenter Server connection from a View Connection Server
1FromwithinViewAdministrator,clicktheConfigurationbutton.
2InvCenterServers,selecttheVirtualCenterorvCenterServerthatyouwantto
removeandclickRemove.
IfdesktopsareusingthisvCenterServer,
anerrormessagetellsyouthatyoumust
firstdeletethedesktopsusingthisvCenterServerbeforeyoucandeletethe
vCenterServer.
IfnodesktopsareusingthisvCenterServer,awarningmessagetellsyouthatyou
cannolongeraccessvirtualmachinesmanagedbythisvCenterServer.
