Configuring the System Page-File Settings
YoucanoptimizethevirtualmemoryontheWindowsServercomputersonwhichyour
ViewConnectionServerinstancesareinstalledbychangingthesystempage‐file
settings.
WhenWindowsServerisinstalled,theoperatingsystemcalculatesaninitialand
maximumpage‐filesizebasedonthephysicalmemoryinstalledonthe
computer.
Thesedefaultsettingsremainfixedevenafteryourestartthecomputer.
IftheWindowsServercomputerisavirtualmachine,youcanchangethememorysize
throughvCenterServer.However,aslongasWindowsusesthedefaultsetting,the
systempage‐filesizedoesnotadjusttothenewmemory
size.
To configure system page-file settings
1OntheWindowsServercomputeronwhichViewConnectionServerisinstalled,
navigatetotheVirtualMemorydialogbox.
Bydefault,Customsizeisselected.Aninitialandmaximumpage‐filesizeappear.
2ClickSystemmanagedsize.
Windowscontinuallyrecalculatesthesystempage‐filesizebasedoncurrentmemory
useand
availablememory.
