Inordertoinstallareplica,theremustbeatleastoneViewConnectionServerinstance
alreadypresentonyournetwork.Replicaserverscanuseeitherastandardserveror
anotherreplicaservertoinitializetheirdata.Onceinitialized,thebehaviorand
functionalityofthereplicaserverisidenticaltothat
ofastandardserverandoffers
identicalfunctionality.
Intheeventofserverfailure,theotherserversinthereplicatedgroupwillcontinueto
operate.Ifthefailedserverresumesactivity,itsconfigurationdataisautomatically
updatedtoreflectanychangesthat mayhavetakenplaceduringtheoutage.Figure 2‐1
