Configuring Domain Filters
ViewManagerdetermineswhichdomainsareaccessiblebytraversingtrust
relationships,startingwiththedomaininwhichaViewConnectionServerinstanceor
securityserverresides.Forasmall,well‐connectedsetofdomains,ViewManagercan
quicklydetermineafulllistofdomains,butthetimethatittakesincreases
asthe
numberofdomainsincreasesorastheconnectivitybetweenthedomainsdecreases.
Thelistmightalsoincludedomainsthatyouwouldprefernottooffertoendusers
whentheylogintotheirdesktops.
Youcanusethevdmadmincommandtoconfiguredomainfiltering,whichlimitsthe
domains
thataViewConnectionServerinstanceorsecurityserversearches,andthatit
displaystoendusers.SeetheCommand‐LineToolforViewManagertechnicalnotefor

ViewLDAPisanembeddedLightweightDirectoryAccessProtocoldirectorythat
servesasthedatarepositoryforallViewManagerconfigurationinformation.View
