2UndervCenterServers,ifyouhavenotalreadydonesoclickAddandcomplete
thedetailsforthevCenterServertousewithViewManager:
aIntheServeraddresstextbox,entertheFQDNorIPaddressofthe
VMware
vCenterServeryouwantViewManagertocommunicatewith.
bEnterthenameofavCenterServeruserintheUsernametextbox.
cEnterthepasswordthatcorrespondstotheuserenteredaboveinthe
Passwordtextbox.
d (Optional)EnteradescriptionforthisvCenterServerintheDescriptiontext
box.
eIfyouwillbeconnectingtothevCenterServerthroughasecurechannel(SSL)
thenmakesurethatConnectusingSSLisselected.Thisisthedefaultsetting.
fEntertheTCPportnumberinthePorttextbox.Thedefaultis443.
IftherequiredvCenterServerisalreadypresent,select
theentryandclickEdit.
ThevCenterServersettingslistisdisplayed.
3ClicktheCheckforViewComposerCompatibilitybuttontocheckthatthe
View ComposerserviceisrunningonthevCenterServer.Ifthecheckissuccessful,
theViewComposerSettingspropertygroupisdisplayed.
4EnsurethattheEnableViewComposer
checkboxisselectedandthattheport
numbercorrespondstotheportspecifiedduringtheinstallationofthe
View ComposerserviceonthevCenterServerhost.
CAUTIONIfyouenteraserverusingaDNSnameorURL,noDNSlookupis
performedtoverifywhetherornottheserverhaspreviouslybeenentered
usingitsIPaddress.AconflictwillariseifavCenterServerisaddedwithboth
itsDNSnameanditsIPaddress.
