Q -BOT with TX Turnigy T9 or T9X
The use of mini- quadricopter Q -Bot shipped by HobbyKing with "Radio Adapter 2.4 Ghz module" is not
really plug and play.
Below is a method for each of the Turnigy 9X or T9X in mode 1 . If you do not know the safety rules in
model aircraft , the actions should be done by a competent person !
It is also possible that the characteristics of your transmitters are different from those used for this
assistance. Operations are therefore at your own risk.
NB : the "status led" of the "RADIO ADAPTER 2.4 GHZ " is setting with the central switch, depending on the
brand of the TX:
- Green = > FUTABA
- Red = > JR TURNIGY
- No color => WALKERA
NB 2 : The mounting of the propellers is very important (several models : clockwise and anti-clockwise)
Turnigy 9X
Prerequisites: choose a memory for Q -BOT model and configure the transmitter :
. 8CH PPM 300uSec
. Channel Order ( menu 10/10) => RETA
. Limits ( menu 6/10) => ch1=NORM ( or --- ), ch2=NORM ( or --- ), INV=ch3 , ch4=INV
. Mixer ( Menu 5 /10) => THR = ch1 , ch2 = AIL , ELEV = ch3 , ch4 = RUD
. to slow the machine : EXPO AIL = 50%, ELEV = 65% , RD = 50%
To fly the Q -Bot :
1 - Switch off the transmitter (if it was turned on).
2 - Connect the "RADIO ADAPTER 2.4 GHZ " on the trainer port ( DSC ) . The screen of the transmitter
lights.
3 - Acknowledge any alarm transmitter (press EXIT repeatedly to get the screen normally displayed for the
flight)
4 - Turn on "RADIO ADAPTER 2.4 GHz " ( the LED "signal" turns red )
5 - In the five or six seconds , plug the battery of the Q -BOT. A green LED flashes quickly. Do not touch the
Q -Bot to let the gyros initialize). The green LED lights continuously. the 4 propellers rotate about 1 second
to confirm the initialization, and the Q -Bot is now ready to fly . If the LED is off, the Q -Bot is not in
conected with the "RADIO ADAPTER 2.4 GHz ."
