Configuring the Circulation Module
Identifying circulation and fine rules
Unless your library is just starting up, you will already have your list of circulation
and fine rules. However, you might consider modifying the list to take advantage of
some of Koha's capabilities.
Based on your current circulation and fine policies, record data in
a table in the
following fashion:

Creating circulation and fine rules
If you take all combinations of library or branch, patron category and item type the
number of rules to configure and maintain would be very large.
Thankfully, Koha allows us to use the value "Default" to denote all values. This
way
you need to configure a small number of default rules and another small number of
rules for exceptions.
This is best explained using the example in the previous section. The example
we just
saw can be translated to following rules for Koha:
