9 Decommissioning
9.1 Final decommissioning
The smoke alarm device will reach the
end of its useful life at the latest after
12 years of usage according to the intend-
ed purpose.
f Replace the device at the end of this
useful life.
9.2 Disposal
According to the EU´s Restriction of
Hazardous Substances Directive, this
product should never be placed in do-
mestic waste.
f Return the appliance to be discard-
ed to the manufacturer for further
utilisation, or hand it over to your
local waste disposal company.
f Note that the environment can be
damaged by improper disposal.
