Telephone Interface Module
A required element of the PCM–2000
paging system, this module provides
the necessary interface to conventional
phone systems, including talk battery,
plus night ringer input, emergency
override input, background music input
and all tone signaling features and
relay contacts. Only one telephone
interface module is required regardless
of the number of page zones operating.

PCM–2000 Paging Control System
This modular telephone zone paging control system offers incredible
flexibility, with capability for future expansion. It is designed for direct
connection to loop start and ground start trunks, to PBX or KEY paging
ports which supply DTMF capability, and to analog T/R lines. Required
components: •PCMTIM Telephone Interface Module: Provides the
interface to the telephone system •PCMCPU Central Processor Module:
Provides control of up to three PCMZPM zone page control modules
•PCMZPM Zone Page Control Module: Controls up to three zones, for a
total of nine zones Features: •Simultaneous high and low power paging
•Zone and zone group paging •Built–in talkback amplification (requires
PCMTBM module) •Background music assigned per zone with local
background music capability •Night ringer zone group •Emergency
zone group •Emergency all–facility page override •Eight daily
time–triggered signaling events (requires PCMTBM module) •Pattern and echo code calling •Daily master
clock synchronization •Relay driver per zone •Auxiliary contacts •Using one PCM–2000 as a master system,
up to ten slave PCM–2000 systems may be connected, allowing control of up to 99 zones
Central Processor Module
A required element of the PCM–2000
paging system, one central processor
module will control up to three zone
control modules, providing control of up
to nine zones. Additionally, this module
may be configured as a master unit,
controlling up to ten slave modules,
allowing control of up to 99 independent
zones. The module provides power, data
and audio connections to the paging
system, as well as all setup and operating
functions, and may be programmed,
using DTMF tones, through the
telephone. One central processing
module is required for every nine
page zones operating.

555-7935 PCMCPU $115.00
Page Control Module
A required element of the PCM–2000
paging system, the zone page control
module provides independent control of
up to three zones. Up to three modules
may be connected to s single PCMPCU
for control of a total of nine zones, greatly
easing future expansion. Talkback option
can be set on or off for each zone with the
addition of the optional PCMTBM talk
back module. Zone outputs will drive 70V
or line level signals, for self–amplified
speaker systems. Relay driver outputs
mirror the state of each paging zone to
control external equipment. If desired,
the system–wide background music can
be connected to any page control module.
Background music can be inhibited by
any zone. One page control module is required
for every three page zones operating.

Paging Talk Back Module
An optional accessory for the PCM-2000
paging system, this module is used with
a high-power central amplifier to provide
talkback paging in zones with passive
speakers. The module is equipped with
controls to adjust talkback volume and
delay. An intelligent noise reduction
circuit monitors audio activity in a
zone. When activity does not change
significantly, the PCMTBM will consider
the audio to be background noise, and the
module will mute the talkback channel.
When voice is detected, the talkback
channel will be immediately reinstated.
When overridden, talkback channel will
not mute regardless of the audio activity
in the zone. Only one talk back module is required for
the entire PCM-2000 system.

Rack Mount Kit
Designed exclusively for the PCM–2000 paging system, this hardware kit will
securely mount modules in a standard 19" equipment rack. Hardware occupies
5RU and will hold three to six modules.

System Power Supply
Designed for use with the
PCM–2000 paging system, one
power supply is needed for each
PCMCPU used, therefore one
power supply will operate up to
nine zones. Output: 12VDC, 1.5A

60W RMS Power Amplifier
Solid-state power amplifier has been designed to fulfill
the requirements of professional and commercial
sound systems utilizing 8ohm, 16ohm, 25V or 70V
distributed speaker systems. Single input amplifier
is ideal when external mixing or preamplifier is used,
and it is perfect for expanding an existing system.
It accepts unbalanced line level inputs, and may be
driven directly from another amplifiers 25V or 70V
output. Rear panel controls include input level adjust,
selectable low–cut filter and accessory AC outlet.
Specifications: •Power output: 60W RMS
•Frequency response: 20Hz~20KHz •THD: <2% at
rated output •Dimensions: 3

Ambient Noise Sensor System
This device monitors continuously changing
ambient noise levels, and electronically adjusts the
level of a page announcement and/or background
music to maintain intelligibility. A remote mounted
microphone monitors noise levels and adjusts the
paging signal level into the system’s amplifier.
Features: •Balanced and unbalanced input and
output •Unbalanced stereo Aux inputs (summed
mono) •Aux inputs bypass gain control feature •Remote defeat connections (to disable level boost) •Easily
connects to Main-In/Pre-Out amplifier loop •Adjustments for maximum boost, activity threshold, relative gain,
AUX input level, ramp speed, and ambient MIC input threshold •Supports up to four parallel wired mics •Max
mic cable length of 2,000' Specifications: •Gain (Boost): 0~22dB •Frequency response: 5Hz~80KHz •Adjustable
