unbalanced line. Circuit design allows input to
accept either balanced or unbalanced signals, of
either high or low impedance. Instrumentation
type input stage amplifies the differential input,
regardless of ground reference. The output is capable
of driving high or low impedance, balanced or

An open collector output is also provided for slave
units. Applications include converting PTT (push to
talk) function to hands free, automatic muting and
audio signal sensing for auto–power–on function.
Sensitivity and release delay are adjusted via

signal is detected. It is perfect when adding
“audio–power–on” capability to existing equipment.
Because the relay utilizes NO and NC contacts, it
may also be used in “silence sensing” applications.
Trigger threshold is adjustable from –30dBu~0dBu.
Adjustable, 5~50 second, off delay sets the time
required to for the relay to release when the audio
drops below threshold. A 50mA open–collector
output is also provided to drive a slave relay or

A mic may be
mixed with a line level music source. Two mics may
be mixed to feed the mic or line level input of a
power amplifier. A mic or professional +4dBu line
level mono sum is possible. It may be used to
convert mono line level signals from consumer to
professional, or from professional to consumer
format. It may also be used as a microphone
preamplifier, or conversely to adapt unbalanced or
balanced line level signals into the microphone input
of other equipment. Unit requires a 24~33VDC,

Use in applications requiring stereo audio
distribution with four outputs, or mono distribution
with eight outputs. This unit provides multiple,
isolated audio feeds, individual line level controls,
audio presence indicators and gain from –15~+18dB.
Input and output connections are made via a full
size screw terminal strip, on the rear panel, and
accept any combination of balanced or unbalanced
wiring configurations. Gain for each channel is
individually adjusted via a front–panel screwdriver
gain control.

outputs, and loop–through output. Input impedance

compatibility with NRSC and PAL signals.
Source–terminated distributed outputs do not
require termination if unused. -1~+7dB gain is user
