Section 5- Fire Fighting Measures
Lamp is not a fire hazard. Use extinguishing agent suitable for surrounding fire.

Extinguishing Media: Use extinguishing agents suitable for surrounding fire.
Special Fire Fighting Procedure: Use a self- contained breathing apparatus to
prevent inhalation of dust and or fumes that might be generated during fire fighting.
Unusual fire and explosion hazards: When exposed to high temperature Mercury
vaporizes to form toxic fumes.
Section 6 – Accidental Release Measures
In case of breakage ventilate area and clean with vacuum or other non-dust
generating procedure. Use usual precautions for collection of broken glass.
Section 7- Handling and Storage
Handle with care to avoid breakage.
Waste Disposal Method: Hg-Lamp Contains Mercury, Manage in accord with
Federal, State, and Local disposal laws. See: www.lamprecycle.org. Dispose of as
Hazardous Waste.

Respiratory Protection (specify type): Use appropriate NIOSH approved respirator if
TLV is exceeded.
