The number of rings the modem waits

for before it auto answers.

Range: 0-255 (rings)

Default: 0

The time to pause after off-hook before

blind dialing.

Range: 2-255 (U.S.)

Default: 2 (Country dependent)

The time to wait for a carrier from the

remote modem before hanging up.

Range: 1-255

Default: 50 (seconds)

The time to pause for the pause dial

modifier, “Comma”.

Carrier Detect Response TimeCarrier Detect Response Time

Carrier Detect Response Time

The time a signal is detected an

qualified as a carrier. This timing lets

your modem ignore spurious signals

that are the same frequency as the

carrier. Higher S9 values reduce the

chance of a carrier being detected.
