Cleaning Disk Filters
1. Turn off the inlet feed water.
2. If the line is pressurised, depressurise the line by releasing a tap downstream.
3. Unscrew the filter cap, or if equipped, unfasten the clamp.
4. Remove the cap.
5. Pull out the filter element
6. Loosen the tightening ring at the base of the spine.
7. Pull the spine to decompress the disk stack.
8. Clean the element using pressurised water (i.e.: garden hose). Direct a stream of
water along the edge of the disks to clean with a spinning action.
9. Push the spine back into the body to compress the disk stack, ensuring the stack is
uniform.
10. Tighten the ring at the base of the spine.
11. Replace the filter cap, and if equipped, fasten the clamp.
12. Turn on the inlet feed water.
13. Check for leaks - tighten if necessary.
