Taking care of the decorative garden torch
It is not necessary to take special care of the torch
due to the high quality stainless steel material.
You can take care of the decorative oil torch by
using a cloth and a recommended stainless steel
cleaning agent to restore the natural shine of the
stainless steel. If required, you can wipe away
any soot at the wick protection using a cloth.
Discoloration of the material around the flame
because of the high temperatures is due to the
natural features of the stainless steel and does not
constitute a quality defect. When not in use, we
recommend protection against atmospheric
exposure.
Wick:
The decorative garden torch should only be used
with recommended round fiberglass wicks,
approximately ¼ inch in size. In doing so, please
ensure that the wick is positioned firmly in the
wick holder and that at the same time the wick
ends approx. ¼ inch above the wick holder (see
illustration no. 3). The wick opening must be
completely sealed off. Because of the purely
capillary action of the supplied wick, this does not
burn down and does not need to be replaced.
Safety Information:
The decorative garden torch must be
positioned vertically on a stable, level table or
on level ground.
Check stability at periodic intervals.
Fuel Type: Citronella Torch Fuel from
Hardware Stores, Home Improvement
retailers or on line.
Please only use recommended fuel.
Never use petrol, kerosene or other
flammable fluids.
Keep away from children and animals.
Only for outside use. Do not use in confined
spaces.
Do not place near combustible objects.
Do not leave unattended.
Never move the decorative garden torch
when lit or when it is hot.
Use the candle snuffer to snuff the candle
flame.
Please be sure to observe the warning
information on the packaging of the torch
fuel you use.
Please note: the decorative garden torch and
the extinguishing cover can become very hot.
Please do not move or refill until the
decorative garden torch has cooled down.
Please ensure that the torch is only stored
away in a cool condition.
The wick shall not be exposed more than 1/2
inches for lighting.
WARNING:
Please keep the garden torch out of the reach of
children during operation and storage.
Retain this information for future reference, and
make the information available to any third party
who may operate the torch.
In the case of small children, just a sip of torch
fuel – or even sucking the wick – may lead to life
threatening lung damage.
If torch fuel is swallowed, do not induce vomiting.
Seek medical advice immediately or contact a
poison information center and review these
warnings.
