50 Version 2011v1
Signal Possible cause Remedy
ON/OFF light
flashes 3 times.
The connection of the left motor (m1) is not
good or is loose.
Check the connection and secure this
properly.
The left motor (m1) is defective. Replace this motor.
Short circuit in the connections of the left
motor (m1).
Correct the connections.
Defective output of the power module. First check the motor for a defect: an output
of the power module will only become
defective through a defect in the motor itself.
Only replace the power module if the fault
occurs immediately when the unit is switched
on. If the fault occurs when one wishes to
drive, the entire left motor circuit causes the
fault. In this case replace the entire relevant
drive unit.
ON/OFF light
flashes 4 times.
The connection of the right motor (m2) is not
good or loose.
Check the connection and secure this
properly.
The right motor(m2) is defective. Replace this motor.
Short circuit in the connections of the right
motor (m2).
Short circuit in the connections of the right
motor.
Defective output of the power module. First check the motor for a defect: an output
of the power module will only become
defective through a defect in the motor itself.
Only replace the power module if the fault
occurs immediately when the unit is switched
on. If the fault occurs when one wishes to
drive, the entire left motor circuit causes the
fault. In this case replace the entire relevant
drive unit.
ON/OFF light
flashes 5 times.
The connection of the left parking brake (m1)
is not good or loose.
Correct the connection.
The left parking brake (m1) is defective. Replace the drive motor.
The wheelchair is in the neutral position Switch off the neutral.
ON/OFF light
flashes 6 times.
The connection of the right parking brake (m2)
is not good or loose.
Correct the connection.
The right parking brake (m2) is defective. Replace the drive motor.
The wheelchair is in the neutral position. Switch off the neutral.
ON/OFF light
flashes 7 times.
The battery voltage is too low, or the batteries
are empty or bad
Charge the batteries or replace them.
Remark:
If the voltage is too low (< 18 V) the
electronics will not work properly. A number
of random LEDs of the DX controller flash
and the wheelchair will not function.
The battery terminals are loose or do not
make proper contact.
Tighten the battery terminals or clean them.
ON/OFF light
flashes 8 times.
The battery voltage is too high, exceeding
32 V.
This usually occurs during (drop) charging.
Too many of these faults will result in a
defective power module. Set the charger
correctly.
ON/OFF light
flashes 9 times.
'BUS low' fault: cable breakage (in one of the
DX bush cables) or short circuit in the DX
bush system (entrances to the modules)
Check the cables and the modules and
replace if necessary.
