4 SOFTWARE INSTRUCTIONS
The TMC-7DSP/TMC-6DSP camera can be operated from a PC using TMCDSP, PULNiX’s
proprietary software program. Following are the instructions for installing and using the software.
4.1 Software Installation
4.1.1 Before Installing TMCDSP Software
• To install TMCDSP software, you must be running Microsoft Windows95, or Windows98
• It is recommended that small fonts be used in the display properties dialog in the Control Panel
• Make sure that one free serial communication port is available and does not conflict with other
peripherals such as the mouse or modem.
• Installation of TMCDSP requires 2.0 MB of free space on your PC hard drive.
4.1.2 Installing TMCDSP Software
The steps for installing TMCDSP are as follows:
1. Make sure that 2.0 MB are available on your hard disk.
2. Insert the installation diskette into the floppy drive of your PC, and run “Setup.exe”.
3. Install the application code, as directed by the Installer. Continue following the instructions pro-
vided by the Installer. Note: You can change the installation directory if you prefer.
4. Uninstalling TMCDSP Software
To remove the TMCDSP software program from your hard disk, use one of the following two methods.
4.1.3 From the Control Panel
1. Open “Add/Remove Programs” on the control panel.
2. Select “PULNiX TMC7DSP Camera Controller” from the list of installed software.
3. Click “Add/Remove”, then click “Yes” to confirm.
4.1.3 (a) From the Task Bar
1. Go to “Start” -> “Programs” -> “Pulnix”.
2. Run “Remove PULNiX TMC7DSP Camera Controller”.
