Note: DC- is connected to the vehicle chassis (GND) ONLY on negative ground sys-
tems; for other vehicle ground systems, the external wire of the adaptor cable must
be connected between the ground lug and the vehicle chassis. Refer to “Wiring
Vehicle Power to the 8580/8590” on page 48 for details.
