Host

This parameter is used to assign a host IP address using the format ###.###.###.###

or a host name if DNS is used.

Port

“Port” specifies the 9010t (TCP Direct) or Telnet port number. The default

9010t port number assigned is 9999, the maximum allowable value. The default

Telnet port number assigned is 23 with a maximum allowable value of 32767.

Terminal Type

“Terminal Type” is used to inform the server of the type of terminal the hand-held is

emulating. This information is used by the server alone and has no affect on the

7535/7530.

ENTER Pmpt

This string indicates that the hand-held is waiting for the user to press <ENTER> at

the time of connection.

ESC Prompt

This string indicates that the user can press the <ESC> key to terminate a

connection attempt before the connection is established.

Auto Login

The “Auto Login” parameters are used to define whether or not the hand-held will

attempt to log in automatically.

The Auto Login sequence is as follows:

1. Host sends “Login Prompt”.

2. Hand-held responds with “Login”.

3. Host sends “Password Prompt”.
