PSC WP Membrane
Crack-resistant water-proofing products for tub surrounds, showers and other
tile installations subject to damp or wet conditions.
WP offers an overall superior installation compared to liquid roll-on products as well. The total
performance and stability of the WP waterproofing layer is greater and offers a better long-term
anti-cracking performance as well. With WP’s outstanding performance and overall lower total ma-
terial and labor cost compared to competing membranes or other waterproofing methods, PSC’s
WP provides the overall best possible waterproofing solution on the market.
Advantages:
 WP is extremely watertight and elastic, resists aging and will not rot or lose performance.
 The fleece weave on both sides of the material offers excellent adhesion using tile adhesives.
 WP resists water, chemicals, salts, alkalis, alcohol, oils and organic solvents.
 Although WP prevents water and vapor transmission, it is non-hazardous to health.
 WP is non-toxic and requires no specific or required method of disposal.
 WP is easily installed and retains very important advantages over some other membranes. WP
may be installed with MODIFIED OR POLYMER-FORTIFIED THINSET ON TOP AND BOTTOM.
 WP does not limit what types of tiles may be properly installed. Ceramic, porcelain, glass,
metal, stone, etc. may all be installed with appropriate installation methods.
 WP is ICC listed under PMG-1136 and can be referenced at www.icc-es.org/pmg.
 With a PERM rating of 0.063, WP is for use water AND vapor proofing (also for steam showers.)
Despite many common misperceptions, tiled surfaces
by themselves are not watertight. While tile installa-
tions offer outstanding performance in damp or wet
areas, moisture can seep under unprotected tile and
grout surfaces and cause damage to foundations and
wall structures. Some older traditional methods of
waterproofing focus merely on preventing leaks in the
floor and often expose walls to build up of mold and
mildew due to trapped moisture.
WP products provide a system of waterproofing a
shower or other wet area as closely to the surface as
possible on walls and floors to provide a seamless
watertight installation that can last longer and provide
superior performance compared to other methods.
